I wanted a burger for dinner.
I wanted a new patty recipe.
I wanted a good photo of my burger, for a change.
And the following experiment was full of so much WIN.

I share with you my spicy pinto burger.

Spicy Pinto Burgers

3 cups cooked / 2 400g cans pinto beans
1 carrot
1 onion
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 teaspoon chilli paste
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon chopped jalapenos
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup gluten flour

Prepare and drain the beans and mash them in a large bowl. Finely dice the onion, grate the carrot and add these to the bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Form mixture into patties and shallow-fry until nicely browned on both sides.

Serve in lightly toasted burger buns with your favourite salads and sauces. I recommend including some avocado.
